HORSE TREKKING IN CORSICA: PRICE UPON REQUEST
The price includes:
Meals: Breakfast, a picnic lunch, afternoon snacks, pre-dinner drinks, an evening hot meal, and drinks.
Accommodation: Lodging for the duration of your stay.
Guidance: Professional support and organisation throughout your experience.
Equipment: Use of saddlery, including saddlebags, tents, and helmets (riders are encouraged to bring their own helmet if possible).
Logistics: A support vehicle to transport riders' luggage, while daily essentials are carried in saddlebags on the horse.
Transfer: Transportation from BBASTIA PORETTA Airport to the L'ALBADU farm.

All equipment must fit in your travel bag. Also, bring a bum bag (to keep sunscreen, tissues, camera, etc., within reach), a riding helmet or hat, and saddlebags (if you own them).

Arrival at Bastia airport, where you will be welcome. Transfer to the equestrian farm near Corte, arranged by us. Lunch will be taken at the farm, followed by a swim in the natural pools in the Restonica Valley. Welcome aperitif and dinner at the guest table. Overnight in the farm dormitory. |
Sunday |
Allocation of horses and equipment preparation, followed by your first riding lesson. You will learn how to properly saddle and bridle your horse and the essential safety rules and key information for trekking. Lunch at the farm. In the afternoon, we will set off for the Pointe du Corbeau, a viewpoint overlooking the Restonica Valley and the Citadel of Corte. Horse care (grooming, massaging, watering, feeding). Overnight and dinner at the gîte. |
Monday |
We will head east of Corte to the village of Sainte-Lucie de Mercurio, perched at the top of the rocks. You can enjoy a bird's eye view of the town of Corte.

Tuesday |
Morning of rest, during which you can visit Corte: the old town, the shops selling Corsican products, and the Musée de la Corse. Lunch at the farm or, if you prefer, in a restaurant in Corte. In the afternoon, enjoy a swim and a stroll through the Tavignanu Valley and its natural pools.

Depart by truck (10-minute drive) for a day in the mountains; we will pass through the villages of Poggio-di-Venaco, Riventosa, and Casanova. Picnic in the cool on the village square of Casanova, by its drinking water fountain. In the afternoon, we will ascend to the summit of Felce and Punta Cisterna. Then, return to the farm after a steep descent through the forest. Horse care (grooming, massaging, watering, feeding). Overnight and dinner at the gîte. |
Thursday |
Depart by truck for the Agriates Desert, where we will follow the coastal path, the Sentier des Douaniers, to discover wild coves. Explore pristine sandy beaches and breathtaking landscapes. Horse care (grooming, massaging, watering, feeding). Overnight by the sea at the Ostriconi campsite. |
Friday |
Morning swim with your horses. Bareback on the beach at Ostriconi, you will share unforgettable moments with your mounts. In the afternoon, return by truck to the Albadu farm. Final care for the horses and their tack. Overnight and dinner at the Albadu farm. |
Saturday |
Breakfast. Return transport to Bastia airport is scheduled for Saturday between 10:00 and 11:00, and you can plan a return flight around 13:30. |

The Price Includes
- Meals (breakfast, picnic lunch, and hot dinner), accommodation, and supervision throughout the duration of the trip. All overnight stays during the trek will be in tents. The first and last nights will be spent in a dormitory.
- Loan of saddlery equipment with saddlebags, tents, and helmets (it is recommended that riders bring their own helmet).
- A support vehicle will transport the riders' bags. The essential daily items will be carried in the saddlebags on the horse.
- Transfer from Bastia Poretta Airport to the Albadu farm.
LES REPAS
Breakfast: bread, butter, jam, fruit juice, tea, coffee, or hot chocolate.
Lunch picnic: sandwich, cereal bar, and applesauce.
Dinner: garden vegetable soup or raw vegetables, farm-raised veal with olives served with tagliatelle, sheep's cheese, homemade dessert (wine included).
Riding Level: Riders should have an outdoor rider level, equivalent to at least Gallop 4 and above. Riders must be able to bridle, saddle, trot in rising, and canter in groups and individually. It is essential to regularly practise riding and have a good level of physical fitness.
FFE Licence (information available at the centres) or public liability insurance is mandatory.

The morning begins with preparing the horses. Late in the morning, departure from the Albadu farm, passing through the town of Corte towards the north. The route includes crossing the Cabetsoli stream and following the old Corte-Castirla trail. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at the Ominanda Pass. Horse care activities include grooming, massaging, watering, and feeding. The bivouac is then set up. A wild camping experience awaits at a site known as Tripiole, complete with a campfire. |
Monday |
The day begins with crossing the Golu River towards the Popolasca Needles, followed by passing through the village. A descent to the Asco River includes crossing an old bridge and a stop for a picnic. The journey continues with a long gallop through the valley. Horse care activities include grooming, massaging, watering, and feeding. The bivouac is then set up. Wild camping takes place along the banks of the Tartagine River, with the opportunity for a swim. |
Tuesday |
The route leads towards the village of Pedano, located on the high slopes of the Ostriconi Valley. The journey involves trails and gallops along the ridges. After passing through the village of Novella, there will be a stop for a picnic. Following the valley, the group will arrive at Ostriconi. Horse care activities include grooming, massaging, watering, and feeding. The bivouac is then set up. The first night of camping by the sea offers the option of dining at a nearby establishment. |
Wednesday |
The first stage of crossing the Agriates Desert begins. The route follows the coastline, exploring secluded coves with exhilarating gallops along the shore. A seaside picnic and a refreshing swim are planned. The journey continues to discover pristine sandy beaches, leading to Saleccia, where the group will stop at the “U Paradisu” campsite. Horse care activities include grooming, massaging, watering, and feeding. The bivouac is then set up. Camping accommodation offers a stunning view of the sunset. |
Thursday |
The morning starts with a swim alongside the horses. Riding bareback on the idyllic Saleccia beach creates unforgettable moments shared with the mounts. In the afternoon, the journey continues along the customs officers' path to the Gulf of Saint-Florent, reaching the “La Pinède” campsite. Horse care activities include grooming, massaging, watering, and feeding. The bivouac is then set up. Camping accommodation includes access to a swimming pool. |
Friday |
An early start from sea level marks the beginning of a challenging day heading towards the Aliso Valley, with plenty of gallops along the way. The journey ascends the slopes and passes through the charming village of Sorio, where there will be a lunch break and an opportunity to enjoy a coffee. The day concludes with final care for the horses and their tack. Accommodation is provided in a dormitory, with dinner served at the guest table. |
Saturday | Breakfast is served in the morning. Return transport to Bastia airport is scheduled for 10:00 am, allowing for return flights around 1:30 pm. |

Day 1 |
Arrival at the airport, transport to the farm via shuttle or independently. Lunch at the farm on the terrace, followed by an afternoon exploring the Restonica Valley and swimming. Family-style dinner at the farm, served at the guest table, featuring local products, farm-raised meat, and garden vegetables. |
Day 2 |
After breakfast, a briefing with the guide about the itinerary and the skill level of each rider for the allocation of horses. First contact with the horses by going to the pasture to catch them, grooming, and the first saddling session at the farm, along with familiarisation with the equipment and the principles of the trek. Lunch at the farm. In the early afternoon, departure for a 2-hour ride to the Pointe du Corbeau, where you'll discover the local flora and fauna, with a magnificent view of the Corte citadel. Upon return, care for the horses. Dinner at the guest table. |
Day 3 |
After breakfast, catch the horses from the pasture, then depart with the picnic towards Sainte Lucie de Mercurio, heading to the Civenti Pass, where you'll enjoy a breathtaking aerial view of the valley. The ride continues along the Mare a Mare North trail, with a picnic break by a stream. The ride ends with a visit and tasting of cheeses and cheese-based products (a substantial afternoon snack) at the GAEC A Pasturella cheese dairy. There will be an opportunity to purchase products on-site. Return to the farm by minibus, followed by dinner at the guest table. |
Day 4 |
After breakfast, we will transport the horses by truck. Once mounted, we will take the "Mare a Mare North Variant" and pass through the charming mountain villages of Poggio di Venaco, Riventosa, and Casanova, stopping for lunch by a fountain dating back to the 20th century. The support vehicle will pick us up, along with the horses, and take us back to the Albadu farm, where we will unload the horses. We will then depart by bus to visit the only vineyard in Corte and enjoy a light aperitif in the heart of the vines. Return to the farm. |
Day 5 |
After breakfast, we will head to the Saint Jean woods, where we can enjoy some trotting and admire the Capella San Giovanni Battista, dating back to the first half of the 11th century. We will return to the farm for lunch. In the afternoon, we will explore the heart of Corte, including a visit to the citadel by the little train, a tour of the museum, and an opportunity to purchase souvenirs. Return to the farm and dinner at the guest table. |
Day 6 |
Early departure towards the Aleria plain to the beautiful Marquilliani estate, producers of olive oil, wine, almonds, and citrus fruits. Upon arrival, we will take a guided tour of the estate, followed by a tasting in the estate's lovely cellar. A countryside picnic within the property, featuring local produce. In the afternoon, a horseback ride through the estate's vineyards. Dinner in a beautiful vaulted room, with a menu prepared by a local cuisine caterer. In the evening, we will camp in tents or, if available, stay in a gîte. Guests will have access to the property's swimming pool and sanitary facilities. |
Day 7 |
Breakfast on-site, then departure on horseback towards the sea. There will be the possibility of galloping and swimming with the horses on the beach. Lunch by the sea, then return to the farm. Final dinner at the guest table at Albadu. |
Day 8 | Breakfast at the farm, then transfer to the airport for those who wish, by our shuttle service. |
